Short walk from the Visitor Centre to the cache location. The paths can be a bit muddy. Look out for wildlife, including millions of tadpoles in spring!
Hollingworth Lake Country Park provides the perfect gateway to the outstandingly beautiful open moorlands of the South Pennine area. Lying at the foot of Blackstone Edge, there is a wide variety of footpaths and trails exploring the surrounding countryside. The visitor centre has interesting events going on, and a nice cafe and gift shop. The huge car park is Pay and Display, and adjacent to it is a lovely children's playground. Plus there's a good ice-cream shop just down the road, opposite the car park by the boats!
The cache is cylindriical wth swaps, stash card, log book and pen.
