Bring your imagination to life as you wander around the Historic Chelsea Train Depot. I've not been able to prove this story, but some locals have told me the following....... Way back in the 1800's this beautiful building was bulit to replace a depot several miles away which had "mysteriously" burned down. A few fellows, who had been trying to establish the young town, immediately offered this property for a new stop on the railway, free of charge. Initially it was used as described on the nearby historic plaque, in the transport of many goods beginning in 1848, then in 1880 passenger services were offered.
Men could wait in the west end of the building (a much smaller area), women and children waited in the east wing, If you peek in the windows you can clearly see the east wing is significantly larger. I wonder if it was those hoop skirts and bustles that took up so much more space!
As fun as this can be, please note that this line is used by Amtrak and the trains pass a few times a day at a high rate of speed. Have a seat or wander nearby while it passes. Above all stay safe and have fun here

2. Post a photo of you, or something on your person, proving that you are indeed at the depot.
