When this region was settled by Europeans, Nordics were heavily represented and are represented today by place names, architecture, etc.
The European settlers, however, were not the only immigrants to reach these shores. Here in the Northwest, Asian's were also prominently numbered among the settlers and their presence -- while less obvious in some ways -- is still shown by Seattle's Chinatown area and the Chinese Gardens (Port Townsend, near the fairgrounds) as well as a number of excellent restaurants (the best of which do not cater to European tastes ... or prejudices ... jelly fish salad, anyone? Careful, it's spicy.)
So, in honor of these Asiatic settlers, this cache is offered ... as shown:
Happy caching
Note: several TBs have been transferred to this cache from the Seeking Buddha cache. Each is relevant to the theme: BO-West TB (a mounted railroad spike) commemorates the joining of the B&O and Western Maryland railroads (Chinese immigrants laid a lot of miles of track in this country) while the connections for the Jolly Buddha and Tibetan Traveling Prayer Flags TBs should be obvious.
Feng Shui: literally Wind Water
