Located near the Bruce Trail, overlooking Georgian Bay, 5 miles from the town of Tobermory.
Make sure you take your camera! You will need it to authenticate your find .
This is quite the Buttdragger! Sturdy boots to support ankles and stamina is in order for this one. It is not a trail for the very young or the rather old! Take Hwy 6 and head toward Tobermory. 5 miles before getting into the town, you will see a sign on the right indicating the Cyprus Lake Campgrounds. There is a $24 per day user fee. It is worth every cent!) Turn in and follow the long approach lane to the Parks Canada office and pick up a Cyprus Lake Hiking Trails Map. This is very important. Without it, finding this virtual cache location might be a little difficult. Carry on, and park at the furthermost parking lot at Head of Trails parking. Take the Horse Lake Trail and from there you're on your own! It is recommended that this not be attempted late afternoon to dusk during the late Fall and Winter months, nor in the deep snow or in icy conditions.

Due to recent events - (after suffering mild abuse from a member after being politely told to put up a picture after a whole 14 months of letting it slide) we really MUST insist that a photo accompany your posting. If you don't have one - then do not post a "find". Simple! It's so unfair to all the other great folk who took the time to do just that. How else can you prove you have actually been to the site? A cell phone or a digital camera is an easy thing to take with you on any hike and is a prerequisite for any virtual to record you were actually there! So.....ANY POSTS WITHOUT A PICTURE AFTER 3 MONTHS WILL NOW BE TAKEN DOWN.
