About 15 kilometres from Corfu Town, situated on Corfu’s west coast you will find this idyllic mountain village. Pelekas used to be an insider tip for Hippies, and still today it has a magic appeal to tourists. Hidden from the usual tourist spots, Pelekas Beach, known to the locals as Kontogialos, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu.The beach can be accessed by one of two asphalt roads and there is adequate parking at both sides of the bay and on the road.
The Cache will lead you to the Area of Kontogialos-Beach, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island. You can park the car at the road or leave it on one of the parking places. The cache is hidden in a hole in rocks at the driveup to a Taverna with a very nice View all over the Bay. The Cache is a small Glas-Box inclusive pen and Log-Book. If you like you can leave a very small souvenir of your Home-Town (e.g. a coin). Enjoy the cache and the beautiful Landscape of Pelekas.
