Restown Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

cphug184: Sorry to archive this but I checked and it is gone. As I was checking around to see if it had migrated, I saw security en route. Maybe security is enhanced with the garage renovation? Not sure if the original CO got OK to place...I know I did not. So archiving it. Thanks to catbert for the original placement and thanks for those who hunted. This opens a nice corner in Reston Town center- many out-of-towners at the hotel would like a replacement cache!

Geocache Description:

Reston was established in 1968 by Robert E. Simon as a “new town” or “planned community” concept, is approximately 12 square miles, and is populated by about 60,000 residents. The Reston Town Center was dedicated in 1990 with a first phase section of 20 acres, and since then has been constantly growing and expanding.

The Reston Town Center is a great place to stroll around, do some shopping, try some good restaurants, listen to a concert in the summer, watch skaters in the winter, etc. But after you’ve done all those other activities, why not throw in a little geocaching too? You can easily bag this one on your lunch break, before dinner, or after the movies.

Some random musings about this cache:

This is a small unconventional container, with a payload volume of about 12 cu in. Coordinates are 2 dimensional, but remember the world is not flat. Karl F. Gauss assisted with this cache. Please be very careful when retrieving and replacing the cache, as it can be a little difficult. Be sure you don’t drop it.........
