Somerset & Bristol quarterly get-together #4 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Maple Leaf: All coins and TB's have now been retrieved, so time to archive the event - thanks to everyone who came. I am sure we will hold another one here at some time in the future.

I don't think anyone volunteered for hosting the next one ... so where is it going to be in November?

Geocache Description:

Somerset and Bristol quarterly get-together #4

Axbridge, Somerset

Friday 29th August 2008

7 - 11pm

As it is our turn to have a drink and walk home, the event is being moved across the border to 'proper' Somerset (none of this North Somerset stuff!)

Venue

The Lamb is situated in Axbridge town square (limited free parking). There are also two public carparks close by in Moorland St and Meadow St (both free after 6pm)

We will be in the skittle alley/function room at the back of the pub - just head straight through the bar towards the garden.

Food

There is food available. As Friday night is often popular with the locals it would be helpful if you would indicate in your log if you are intending to eat at the pub so that we can give the landlord an idea of numbers before hand.

Kids

Kids are allowed in the Skittle Alley - but please note under 14's are NOT allowed to USE the skittle alley (pub's insurance policy). Please abide by this rule as we don't want to be barred!

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed - apologies to The Beast that Barks and the Wheelybarrow 'groupies'.

Skittles

We would like to make use of the skittle alley and suggest that we have a game of 'Killer Skittles'
(this way people can join in as they arrive - but may have less 'lives').

The rules ....  each person is given 3 lives. The first player throws a 'bad hand' (right-handed players use left hand and vice-versa)  to set a score to be aimed at. The next player has to beat that score or lose a life. Each subsequent player must beat the previous players score or lose a life. When a player loses his last life he is out of the game.
The last player remaining wins a small prize
(donated by Maple Leaf and Paradiddle)

"Cache me if you can"

As it will only be 6 weeks before our local Somerset team 'Cache me if you can' head down the M5 to face the muddy challenge, We are sure this will be a topic of discussion. We hope that all team members will be able to attend.
