Bad Vöslau und das Wasser
Wasser hat für Bad Vöslau, neben den anderen beiden „W“s – Wein und Wald – schon sehr lange Zeit eine große Bedeutung.
Durch die Lage an der „Wiener Thermenlinie“ – eine geologische Bruchzone, entlang derer eine Reihe Thermalquellen an die Oberfläche treten – war Bad Vöslau schon zur Zeit des Römischen Reichs als Badeort beliebt. Die allgemeine Besiedelung geht sogar bis in die Jungsteinzeit zurück.
Das Wasser sammelt sich an der so genannten Ursprungsquelle in 660m Tiefe und tritt artesisch zu Tage. Die erste neuzeitliche Badeanlage wurde in Bad Vöslau 1822 eröffnet und nach und nach zum heutigen Thermalbad ausgebaut. Doch nicht nur zum Baden wird das offiziell auch als Heilwasser anerkannte Vöslauer Wasser genutzt – die hier ansässige Mineralwasserfirma stellt die unangefochtene Nr. 1 des heimischen Mineralwassermarktes.
Im Jahr 2010 wurden von der Wiener Künstlerin Ulla Reithmayr für die Stadt Bad Vöslau fünf Trinkbrunnen unter dem Namen „Nymphenkleid“ künstlerisch gestaltet. Sie sind über die Stadt verteilt installiert und bieten bei einem Spaziergang durch Bad Vöslau eine willkommene Erfrischung zwischendurch.
Die Gestaltung der Trinkbrunnen erinnert an weich fließenden Stoff, ein Kleid eben. An jeder Skulptur befindet sich ein Schild mit einem Wort darauf, das zum Nachdenken über und Hinterfragen des Allgemeingutes „Wasser“ anregen soll.
Deine Aufgaben für diesen Virtual:
Die fünf Trinkbrunnen befinden sich innerhalb eines Radius von 800m um den Header. Sie sind grundsätzlich ganzjährig zugänglich, aber im Winter natürlich nicht in Betrieb.

1. Suche und besuche die fünf Trinkwasserspender und notiere Dir das jeweilige Wort, das auf jeder Skulptur zu finden ist.
2. Nimm jeweils den ersten Buchstaben jedes Wortes, sortiere die fünf Buchstaben alphabetisch, setze sie in die Mailadresse ein: xxxxx@gmx.at (alles in Kleinbuchstaben) und gib als Betreff Deinen Geocaching-Nickname an. Du bekommst dann eine automatische Antwort.
Beispiel Worte: Apfel – Birne – Orange – Kirsche – Melone = Mailadresse: abkmo@gmx.at
3. Begib Dich zum Header
und mach ein Foto von Dir oder Deinem GPS vor dem Brunnen.
Logs ohne eine Mail im Postfach oder ohne Foto werden ohne Ausnahme gelöscht. Sollte der Autoresponder bei gmx einmal nicht funktionieren, darf man mich auch gern kontaktieren, mir die richtigen Wörter durchgeben und nach meiner Antwort dann loggen.

Dieser Virtual soll auch ganz besonders ein wenig Lob und Anerkennung für den Geocacher Waxo sein. Durch meine Übernahme und Weiterführung (November 2014 bis April 2019) seiner genialen Cachereihe Dämonentor sind auch die dort vergebenen Favoritenpunkte in meinen „Besitz“ übergegangen, was sicher der Hauptgrund war, dass ich diesen Virtual zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen habe. Also: danke, Waxo, für die Erstellung und langjährige Betreuung der tollen Cachereihe. Es ist mir immer noch eine Ehre, diese übernommen haben zu dürfen! :-)

Bad Vöslau and the water
For a long time, water has been of great importance to Bad Vöslau, alongside the other two W's - wine and forest.
Due to its location on the "Wiener Thermenlinie" - a geological fault line along which a number of thermal springs come to the surface - Bad Vöslau was already popular as a bathing resort at the time of the Roman Empire. The general settlement even goes back to the Neolithic period.
The artesian well of Bad Vöslau rises from the depth of 660m. The first modern baths were opened in Bad Vöslau in 1822 and gradually expanded into today's thermal bath. But not only for swimming Bad Vöslau´s water is officially recognized as medicinal water Vöslauer water – also the resident mineral water company is the undisputed No. 1 of the domestic mineral water market.
In 2010, five drinking fountains were artistically designed by the Viennese artist Ulla Reithmayr for the city of Bad Vöslau under the name "Nymphenkleid". They are installed distributed over the city and offer a welcome refreshment in between on a walk through Bad Vöslau.
The design of the drinking fountain is reminiscent of soft flowing fabric, like a fine dress. At each sculpture there is a sign with a word on it, which is meant to stimulate reflection and questioning of the common good "water".
Your tasks for this Virtual:
The five drinking wells are located within a radius of 800m around the header. They are generally accessible year-round, but in winter, of course, not in operation.

1. Search and visit the five drinking water dispensers and note down the word that can be found on each sculpture.
2. Take the first letter of each word, sort the five letters alphabetically, insert them into the mail address: xxxxx@gmx.at (all in lowercase letters) and enter your geocaching nickname as the subject. You will then receive an automatic answer.

3. Go to the header
Take a picture of you or your GPS in front of the fountain.
Logs without a mail in the mailbox or without a photo are deleted without exception. If the autoresponder does not work at gmx, you may also like to contact me, give me the correct words and then log the cache after you received my answer.

This Virtual should also be a little bit of praise and recognition for the Geocacher Waxo . Through my takeover and continuation (Nov. 2014 - April 2019) of his ingenious cache series Dämonentor , the favorite points assigned there have been transferred to my "possession", which was certainly the main reason that I got this Virtual provided. So thank you, Waxo, for the creation and long-term support of the great cache series. It is still an honor for me to have taken over this! :-)
