Geocache Description:

I knew that Arctic Crossing cache was placed nearby, but decided that two in the area is not too many…especially in this huge state! Folks deserve to find two caches after driving this distance!

Don't forget your bug dope if hunting in Spring or Summer. You can access cache in winter if side roads have been plowed or if you are on snowshoes or snow machine. If it is winter, you'll want to bring a trowel to dig in the snow.

This cache was a blast to place. My sister was visiting from Montana and wanted to go to the Arctic Circle. It was mine and Lady’s--from verbumsap-- 2nd visit here within the past two weeks so we decided to place a cache. The drive was extremely interesting with the fires burning on both sides of the road at times. At one point we stopped to photograph a tree that had a fire burning near its base. During the first two shots, the tree seemed to explode. Fire shot up the tree, consuming it with loud popping and fizzing noises!!!
