American Civil War. In addition to the Abraham Lincoln research
material, the library also includes material that is useful for
anyone researching his or her genealogy. A large collection of
Civil War era information is also available.

This is the 'first' Lincoln Library in Springfield and the name
causes a great deal of confusion for out-of-town visitors. This
library has the Sangamon Valley Collection, which is useful when
researching the history of the local area.
