POP #2 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

WeBeDnD: Sigh, not knowing if the necessary apparatus will ever return I will just have to archive this one.
Perhaps a POP 2.1 may emerge, but I can't commit just yet.

Geocache Description:

Second in the POP (Plain 'Ol Puzzle) series.
Cache is not at posted coordinates!
A magnetic micro with requisite paperwork. Bring your own pen!

Growing up in the midwest, when it came to carbonated beverages, we didn't drink soda. We had a pop. We drank pop and we liked it. And if we had no pop? We certainly didn't opt for soda. Now here's your pop quiz for today:

  1. A tree: a) poplar b) soda
  2. A quantity: a) population b) soda
  3. A flower: a) poppy b) soda
  4. Burst open: a) popped b) soda
  5. The stalk of a fungal fruiting body: a) carpophore b) soda
  6. Passiflora incarnata: a) maypop b) soda
  7. A certain rice cereal snaps, crackles and: a) pops b) sodas
  8. The head of the Catholic Church: a) Pope b) soda
  9. More than one Pope: a) Popes b) Sodas
  10. A questionable idea for selling pops on the internet: a) Epops b) soda
  11. A TRUE carbonated soft drink: a) pop b) soda (Hey, pay attention the theme!)
  12. Not officially a word: a) popt b) soda
  13. Icky stuffs from infected eyes: a) hypopyons b) sodas
  14. Articular processes of the neural arch of a vertebra (usually two anterior and two posterior): a) Zygapophyses b) sodas
  15. Debatable as to if this is a word: a) popsy b) soda
After you are done with this pop quiz, pop on over to the cache.

We think the general area of the cache, when viewed from the air, looks kind of like part of one of those 'pop tops' from early pop container designs. (see photo)

Update 5/8/04: Upping the puzzle to 3 stars based on kablooey's log and other very appropriate feedback. I consider it an honor to have a plain 'ol puzzle cache referred to on other fine cache pages and cache logs, thanks!
