This cache is placed on the Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail as
it passes along the Smythesdale to Scarsdale Section.
The Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail in Western Victoria, Australia,
runs 53 kilometres from western Ballarat, southwest through Haddon,
Smythesdale and Pittong to Skipton.
The trail was in poor condition for many years before being
upgraded and resurfaced in 2008.The new surface is "compacted
granitic sand".
It is suitable for walking, bike riding or horse riding.
Cars and motorbikes are not allowed on the trail.
The caches are all designed to be easy finds as the journey along the trail is the main reason these caches have been placed.
This section, the caches are all regular sized and have a few swaps.
We suggest gloves, in case of prickles.
