Geocache Description:

A small cache near the Clarkesville Greenway.

The Clarkesville Greenway is a new addition to the lovely little town of Clarkesville, and we’re happy to see it. Hopefully, this trail is just the beginning of a much longer greenway.

Ever since the Clarkesville Greenway has been in place, we’ve known it needs a cache to make it complete! So now it has one.

The cache (a small lock-and-lock box) shouldn’t be too hard to find. It’s a very short hike down a graveled trail, until you get near ground zero, and then you may have to go through a little undergrowth. Please don’t bushwhack, though. If you walk along the main trail, there’s another trail leading to the Soque River. You can get to the cache from that second trail without forcing your way in, though we’re not sure how overgrown it’ll be in the summer.

Please, please, please...if you take small children, keep an eye on them. There is Soque River access here and no protection. We took the 2-1/2 year old member of our team with us when we hid the cache and all was well, but just be aware!

There are two options for parking – either at the Old Clarkesville Mill or at the little park at the end of Mary Street.

The hint is pretty much of a spoiler. The cache can hold small items and travel bugs.
