ABOUT THE CACHE LOCATION AND AREA YOU'LL BE HIKING

This cache IS NOT a park and grab. You are entering Prunytown State Farm/Wildlife Management Area. This is managed as a beef cattle farm by the WV Dept of Agriculture and is 1764 acres in size. This is not a quick jaunt off the highway, please dress properly with good footwear and give yourself time to retrieve this cache.  This is a medium hike with some terrain involved and the typical thornbrush, hills, mud, deer trails, turkey, coyotes, wet areas, snakes, ticks, tall grass etc). Did I say thornbrush? Teehee  Using the terrain to your advantage is recommended and some of the slopes get a bit steep and some of the swamps gets a bit swampy. You will be walking onto both public hunting ground and a working farm. Cattle are present, they seem to not mind human presence. There are also some amazing earthcaches that are very well rated and interesting close by as well.  You'll learn all about Marcellus Shale and a neat little hidden swamp and it's function in coal formation.

***This is a 1.0D/4.5T. The difficulty with this cache is the ease of finding only 1 cache from the year 2004. The 4.5T is an accurate description of the terrain involved to find it.

This cache is located on public ground, which includes hunting access, so PLEASE observe and adhere to all rules and wear orange during hunting seasons. During the primary hunting season, finding this cache is recommended on Sunday only.

The area right around GZ may or may not have stinging plant life, quite possibly more of a problem in the warmer months. Carefully make your way through a bit of a walk. Long pants might be better than shorts, and watch where you place your hands.

Ticks pose a potential health risk, so please be sure to check that any ticks are removed from one's person after seeking the geocache.

OPTIONAL: The geo-checker acts as proof of your verification in qualifying for this cache and I will check this, but you can copy and paste the project-gc results, if you'd like, into your log.
