Geocache Description:


This cache is located at the Silver Springs State Park. The cache is only accessible by entering the park from State Road 40 and an admission fee is required. For fee information and hours, please visit the state park web page. While you are here, take a stroll along the edge of these crystal clear springs.
You seek a small Lock and Lock, just off the sidewalk. Please rehide as found. Cache placed with permission of the management of Silver Springs State Park.	Among many other projects, the popular TV series Sea Hunt was filmed at Silver Springs between 1957 and 1960. Silver Springs was only one of many locations where the series was filmed. Footage was also shot in other Florida locales, as well as California and the Bahamas. The most notable rememberance from the series was the Sea Hunt shack that remained a fixture at the park for decades. The old structure was torn down to make way for the Lost River Voyage boat dock for the commercial Silver Springs attraction. That dock still remains and provides a nice vantage point of the river.
