Nachdem es am Eibsee schon viele Tradis gibt, wollten wir mal etwas Neues probieren. Der Weg ist nicht geeignet für Kinderwagen, aber für Kinder zu Fuß gut machbar.
Starte bei den angegebenen Koordinaten. Um dorthin zu gelangen, biegst du vom Hauptweg in einen Weg Richtung See ab.
Etwa 40 Meter vom Startpunkt knickt der Weg um ca. 90° nach links ab. Gehe noch etwa 25 Meter weiter. Dann kommst Du an eine kleine Lichtung, an der sich der Weg gabelt. (Dort kann man auch sein Fahrrad stehen lassen.) Der größere Weg biegt nach rechts ab und führt nach oben. Nehme den linken, unscheinbaren Pfad. Nach etwa 10 Metern findest Du einen Baum, der mit einem roten Pfeil markiert ist.
Gehe von diesem Baum aus 26 m unter 85.97°
Wenn du richtig gepeilt hast, läufst du auf unscheinbaren Trampelpfaden und kommst an weiteren Bäumen mit roten Markierungen vorbei. An Verzweigungen hältst du dich links.
Du kommst an eine Weggabelung. Dort steht wieder ein dicker Baum mit einer roten Markierung. Nimm wieder den linken Weg. Man muss durch mehrere kleine Fichten laufen, deren Zweige über den Weg hängen.
Die Markierungen an den Bäumen sind nicht alle in derselben Höhe, jedoch deutlich über dem Boden (etwa Augenhöhe), manchmal auch an der Rückseite.
Folge nun dem Weg nach unten, der durch weitere rote Markierungen anzeigt, dass Du richtig unterwegs bist.
Weiter unten folgt eine T-Kreuzung, an der ein Pfad rechts und einer links abgeht und an der du schon Wasser sehen kannst. Am Pfad, der nach links führt, steht ein dicker bemooster Baum mit vielen Baumpilzen. Nimm den Weg nach rechts. Ein paar Meter in den Weg hinein steht ein großer Baum. Auf dem Stumpf unmittelbar vor dem Baum wächst eine kleine Fichte. Der große Baum hat eine rote Markierung.
Jetzt ist es so gut wie geschafft. Gehe noch 27 m unter 145.94°.
Ein kleines Stück vor dir steht ein dünner abgebrochener Baumrest von einem knappen Meter Höhe (siehe Foto). Links davon sind Baumstümpfe. Im größten Baumstumpf (siehe Spoiler), der zugleich auch dem Wasser am nächsten ist, liegt die Dose in einer der Höhlen.
P.S.: Da Geocacher vermutlich nicht viel mit Stempeln am Hut haben, in einer Letterbox aber einer sein muss, ist dieser hier selbst gebastelt – ein künstlerisch hochwertvolles Werk!

As there are already many traditional caches at Lake Eibsee, we decided to try something new. The path can’t be made with strollers, but walking children can make it.
Start at the published coordinates. To get there you have to leave the main trail and turn into a path in direction to the lake.
About 40 meters (grown-up steps) from the starting point the path dips about 90 degrees to the left. Continue on the path for another 25 meters. You will reach a small clearing with a fork. (You can leave bikes there.) The wider path turns right and leads uphill. Take the left, inconspicuous path. After approx. 10 meters you’ll find a tree with a red mark.
From this tree walk 26 meters under 85.97°
If your bearing is correct, you walk on inconspicuous paths and pass further trees with red marks. At forks take the left paths.
You reach a fork. At the fork you’ll find a big tree with a red mark. You take again the left foot path and have to walk through a group of young spruces; their branches hang above the path.
The marks at the trees are not all at the same level, but clearly above the ground (approx. eye level), sometimes on the back side.
Follow the foot path downwards. Red marks will show you that you found the right way.
Further downwards you’ll reach a T-junction, where one path turns right and one path turns left. You can see water from this point. Beside the path that turns left you can see a very big moss-covered tree with lots of tree fungi. Take the right path. After a few meters you’ll find a big tree. A little spruce grows on the tree stump in front of this tree. The big tree has a red mark.
Now you’re almost there. Walk another 27 meters under 145.94°.
A few steps away you see a thin, broken tree of less than 1 meter height (see picture “Foto”). Left of it you see tree stumps. Go to the biggest one, which is closest to the water (see Spoiler). The cache is hidden in one of the stump caves.
P.S.: The stamp is self-made with high artistic value!!! We guess that geocachers don’t have much interest in stamps, but the guidelines say that a letterbox must have a stamp.
Please leave the stamp in the box!
