Long Branch Library is located at 3500 Lakeshore Blvd W.
The library is working in a partnership with the Etobicoke Horticultural Society to tend what is known as the Pod Project. These are portable containers currently being used to grow vegitables. For more information on the project visit www.gardenlakeshore.ca
At the front of the library you can see a carved reader sitting over the archway to the main door. The ceiling of this space is decorated with a tile mosiac. Once inside the branch, visitors can enjoy the numourous glass decorations.
Long Branch Library hosts the Long Branch Historical Societies' local history collection.
The community of Long Branch was the site (just west of the library) of the first aerodrome in Canada, 1915.
The name Long Branch is after a seaside resort in New Jersey and the area was first developed as a summer resort destination in the 1880s.
Parking is available in a lot behind the branch accessible from 32nd street.
