This cache is located in the Heath Hen Meadow Brook Woodland Conservation Area in Stow, MA. If you have not yet found the cache "Rock Paper Ammo Can" it can be found from here as well. Park at the trail head on the east side of Boxborough Road N 42 27.036 W 71 30.617
A Bumble Bird is the name our family has given to the Common Clear Wing Sphinx Moth. It's truly a moth, but hovers over our hanging flower baskets with wings beating rapidly like a baby hummingbird. We've chosen this cache name because in caching we've discovered that things aren't always as they seem..... Heath Hen Meadow Brook has much to offer the hiker: forest, wetlands, wildlife along the banks of Flagg Hill Pond, and a view of modern windmills at Shelburne Farm Orchards. Trail maps are available at (visit link) [www.stowconservationtrust.org] Stay on the clearly marked trails until you are 30 feet or so from each cache location. Private property (which includes Flagg Hill Pond) surrounds this area. Some parts of these trails are muddy, some seem to be perpetually under water - hiking boots recommended. Stage 1 is about 20 feet from the trail. Stage 2 is within a few feet of the trail. The final is about 30 feet from the trail. The cache container is a traditional ammo can.
