Stabioli è la frazione più orientale di Macugnaga: l'architettura del borgo e la lingua degli abitanti si è sempre distinta nei secoli da quelle dei Walser che invece popolavano la valle a partire da Pestarena. Attualmente la frazione non è più abitata stabilmente, ma d'estate si riempie ancora di vita grazie alla tenacia dei villeggianti che la popolano nonostante la mancanza di collegamento stradale. Degni di nota sono l'Oratorio dedicato a San Bartolomeo, festeggiato vivacemente il 14 agosto di ogni anno, e l'attiguo cimitero ove riposano i numerosi minatori che abitavano la frazione ai tempi dello sfruttamento aurifero in valle.

Stabioli is the easternmost village of Macugnaga: the architecture of the village and the language of the inhabitants has always distinguished itself over the centuries from those of the Walser who instead populated the valley from Pestarena. Currently the village is no longer permanently inhabited, but in summer it fills with life thanks to the tenacity of the holiday makers who live there despite the lack of road connection. Worthy of note are the Oratory dedicated to San Bartolomeo, celebrated vividly on August 14 of each year, and the adjacent cemetery where there rest the numerous miners who inhabited the village at the time of the exploitation of the auriferous site in the valley.
