You are invited to a Puzzle Workshop at the Victor Library. The event will begin at 1pm and end at 3pm. After the event we will be going to a nearby ice cream shop (thanks Delta Delta 1 for the great suggestion!)
Over the last year I've been working on my puzzle-solving skills and recently I thought it would be fun to host a puzzle workshop. I am definitely a beginner "puzzler" so I invited some of the local "puzzlers" to speak at this event.
Guests will be local "puzzlers" DeltaDelta1, Medicineman, Bridgebum, Neogeo585, GO Geiger and possibly a few more that I am waiting to hear back from. The following will be giving presentations of their choosing.
Update on topics:
DeltaDelta 1: Ciphers
Medicineman: "Dos and Don'ts" of creating puzzles. He will also be bringing a new unpublished puzzle and giving attendees advance notice before it is published.
Bridgebum: "Smart" Geocaches
GO Geiger: Number Systems/Interesting uses of numbers in puzzles.
After the speakers present, you will have the opportunity to work on puzzles in small groups including beginner, intermediate and advanced puzzles. The COs of the following puzzles have given permission for small groups to work on the following puzzles at the event and I will print copies of the cache pages. The library has free wifi so feel free to bring your laptop.
GC3PN53 Flexagons 101
GC2F7DM End of the Trail

All attendees will be entered into a drawing and the winning cacher will receive a copy of the book "How to Puzzle Cache". Light refreshments will be served.
