Log sheets are double-boxed in a 60 ml container.
This cache is positioned about 60+ metres from a WW1 memorial dedicated to some of those who lost their lives. Blackheath also had many Canadian soldiers stationed in the village during that war.
This cache is part of a series created with cycling in mind but this cache is NOT on a path where cycling is easy. The route further north along the Downs Link towards St Martha's is patchy as far as cycling is concerned. In parts the trail gets very narrow and is recommended only for skilled cyclists with mountain bikes. Please take bikes along here only if you are confident of your ability to handle any terrain you may encounter.
All these caches can of course be found on foot though, from wherever you may begin or end your caching journey, you will probably need to return along the same route or use 2 cars, leaving your second at another point along the trail.
