Another in the Terrier Series placed in the middle of Viridor woods. Nice simple cache in an area with a lovely view. Make sure to have a look at the others in the area, it's certainly worth the walk.
The Terrier Series is a series of caches which are placed around Viridor Woods in Bamfurlong, Wigan. Viridor Woods is split into two sections which a road runs through. Viridor woods was originally a mine and slag heaps but then ended up in the hands of the Viridor Waste company. The company planned on using it as a landfill site, but once the residents protested the company gave the land to the Forestry Commission. Viridor woods is now a beautiful walk. On one side it leads onto the Three Sisters recreation area and nature reserve and on the other lads to footpaths that end up on Ashton Heath. Please enjoy and respect the land, its a beautiful place.
