Come and see the spectacular Persley Walled Garden but from a slightly different angle than normal. This is more of a tree shuffle than a tree climb cache.
Although you do not need any specialist equipment for the climb, please note that the D/T rating has been chosen to accurately represent the challenge involved. Geocaching, like any outdoor activity, involves a level of risk, as well as an understanding of your own fitness. The cache has been placed along a substantial horizontally growing branch of a tree and is visible from the ground.
The cache owner is not responsible for any accidents/injuries which might occur from attempting this cache. If you do not feel capable of completing the cache, please do not risk injury just for the sake of a 'smiley face'.
Lying next to the River Don on Mugiemoss Road, immediately to the southeast of Persley Bridge in North Aberdeen, the Persley Walled Garden is a neatly landscaped formal garden maintained by Aberdeen City Council. Opened in 1994, It features herbaceous borders, ornamental iron-work and a fountain. Also located here is the Workers Memorial, dedicated to those who have lost their lives in industry. This comprises a black granite pillar, commissioned by Aberdeen Trades Council and unveiled in 1997.
