Geocache Description:

Snoopy's adventures in June of 1976 take him to Wimbledon to play tennis. Well, that is his original intent. For some reason, he believes Wimbledon is near Kansas City. Charlie Brown tells Snoopy that Wimbledon is in England, but Snoopy heads off, racket in paw, towards Kansas City anyway.

While in Kansas City, Snoopy search for, and eventually meets up with, his beautiful sister, Belle, and her lanky, unnamed, teenage son. On June 30, 1976, we read Snoopy's latest letter to "Round-Headed Kid" (Snoopy can never remember his owner's name): "As I said, my sister's son is a disappointment. They say he's a registered beagle. I think he looks more like the 'Pink Panther'. (visit link)

Snoopy's 'Pink Panther' nephew is a two-quart rubbermaid container painted to blend into woodsy surroundings. He has been placed on private property with permission. To get there, turn off Otisco Valley Road across from the dam and park in the secluded parking area for the fishing spot. You'll see a road heading north. The cache is a short walk up the road along the creek. A long-sleeved shirt might be a good idea due to thorny branches that arc over the pathway in places. You shouldn't have a problem with thorns right at the cache itself.

Besides being a beautiful spot, Snoopy's nephew is located at the beginning of the "Nine Mile Creek". Right across the creek is the end of the former "Marcellus and Otisco Lake Railroad."
