This could be a little tricky. A little bit of driving and a little bit of walking are required, but the walk is entirely paved and there is parking. Make sure you bring your calculator or a sharp pencil. Should take about an hour at most, so make sure you plan accordingly. BYOP
At the listed coordinates, you will find a memorial to the Harlem Roscoe Firefighters. To locate Stage 2, you will need to find some information and do a little math.
To find the North coord for Stage 2:
Start in the middle of the circle. There are bricks with memorials printed on them. You are looking for a memorial brick for Captain Al Fuhrer. Subtract the years listed on the brick and divide that number by the number you will find on the memorial plaque at the east side of the circle. ADD this to the listed North coord.
To find the West coord for Stage 2:
Let’s take another look at the bricks in the middle of the circle. If the average brick weighs 5 pounds, and you decided to split one of those bricks into 200 equal pieces, how many pounds would each piece weigh? SUBTRACT the weight of ONE of these pieces from the West coord.
At Stage 2, you will need to do some simple math and a simple projection to get you to the final. When you arrive at Stage 2, you will find a memorial to Gloria. I’m sure her family loved her very much, as there is more than one of these memorials to her. To find the final stage, determine Gloria’s age when she passed away and choose from the following options:
A) 57 – 1058 ft., bearing 150.2 deg.
B) 58 – 1686 ft., bearing 75.7 deg.
C) 59 – 2397 ft., bearing 41.1 deg.
D) 60 – 1562 ft., bearing 86.9 deg.
