I remember my first cache hunt.
I was at a family reunion in a WV state park. The cache was half a
mile away.
As I started out I had a few adults coming with me simply to see
what this “geocaching thing” was all about. And of course a few
kids came along simple because ANY reason to go for a walk in the
woods was good enough for them.
The closer we got to the cache the more excited the kids got.
.3 miles (Not that they knew what a tenth of a mile was.)
.2 miles
.1 miles
500 feet (Here they really started running around. They knew what a
foot was!)
300…150…75….and off the kids went in the direction I was pointing
like bullets!!!
Success!!!
This cache is my attempt to share that feeling with other adults
that like to cache with kids.
The cache is located a short hike into a wooded area next to a
Marilla Park picnic area. Add a couple playgrounds nearby and you
have a great place to cache and play with the family for a little
while.
The oversized container is filled with different kinds of balls.
Hence the name.
AND, all kids are welcome to take a ball!!! Kids do not need to
bring a trade item!
Adults are invited to try and come up with new types of balls to
use as trade items.
Long pants recommended. Especially for kids.
Enjoy!!!
