Geocache Description:


Prior to the floods of 2008, there was a cache nearby that was one of the oldest in our area. Dinkirk placed that cache in Lower Meramec Park on 4/19/2001. Unfortunately, the flooding we had this year proved to be too much for that cache. For me Hawkeye was a memorable cache. It was the 5th cache that I found after 3 days of caching. It helped me realize that not everything is as it appears and that X (or zeroing out) doesn't always mark the spot. So in honor of Dinkirk's Hawkeye cache, I've placed this one.
