Geocache Description:

After finding the nearby cache “Crack Pipe” I decided to take a hike up Angel Canyon.

This cache is just after the canyon walls began to close in around me. A recent fire has burnt off most of the brush and Cats Claw in the canyon bottom so it is mostly steep but open bottom with some rock hopping to reach this site.

Please be careful of the critters that call this area home and the loose rocks along the route. Always bring plenty of water when hiking in the desert. During the warmer months when the temperatures can exceed 110 degrees in this area the cache will be rated much higher. Know your limitations and don’t make this your last hike.

I have indicated my parking location but you may not be able to reach this location without a high clearance vehicle. Access off Highway 111 is good at several locations but stop when you feel you must and before you get stuck.
