Due to a change of management at the Old
Joint Stock, I have been informed that there will now be a charge
to use the upstairs balcony area! As many of you who have attended
previous Brummie Meets will know, we have had free access to the
balcony. After being in discussion with the management it would
appear that this is non-negotiable and therefore it looks likely
there will be a change of venue for future meets. Thanks to some
behind the scenes negotiating by Mumbo Jumbo, the venue has been
changed to BENNETTS, 8, Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, West Midlands,
B2 5RS. The coordinates have been duly updated and the meet is now
back on!
This will be a very informal event - no new caches for the
event, walks, CITO or the like. This is just about an opportunity
to sit down, have a drink, maybe some food but most importantly do
some geo-chatting. Visitors to the area (tourists, conference
delegates etc) will be very welcome and may enjoy an evening in the
company of like-minded folk.
Also as per previous events, there will be the opportunity to
swap Trackables and spot the bizarre!
