The VSP Birding Adventure ended on December 15, 2014, but the park has adopted this cache so it is still available. Prizes will no longer be available for this cache.
Kiptopeke is located on the Southern Tip of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The Birding Adventure cache is right off a well maintained trail. The cache is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Please note that if you are coming from Virginia Beach you will have to pay a toll to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The geocache that you will encounter on this trail is located in some old grown upland maritime forest. You will learn about the songbirds that migrate through Kiptopeke each year as they travel down the Atlantic Flyway. The cache is located in a clear, lock-n-lock container. After you have successfully completed the trail you will find a VSP Birding adventure card that is specific to Kiptopeke State Park. These cards are yours to keep and can be redeemed for rewards.
