Wisła - najdłuższa rzeka Polski (1047 km długości). Swój początek bierze na stoku Baraniej Góry w Beskidzie Sądeckim, następnie płynąc przez połowę polskich województw (Śląskie, Małopolskie, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie, Lubelskie, Mazowieckie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie i Pomorskie) uchodzi do Zatoki Gdańskiej. Dorzecze Wisły obejmuje kolejne trzy województwa (Łódzkie, Podlaskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie). W województwie pomorskim Wisła płynie przez Dolinę Kwidzyńską, a następnie Żuławy. Na tym odcinku rzeka płynie leniwie (średni przepływ około 1700 m3/s), czasami tylko przyspieszając na nielicznych meandrach. Na obu brzegach, prawie na całej długości województwa pomorskiego usypano wały przeciwpowodziowe. Do morza Wisła uchodzi głównie Przekopem Wisły, który pod koniec XIX wieku został sztucznie wybudowany, aby chronić Żuławy i Gdańsk przed zimowo-wiosennymi powodziami.

O ścieżce: ścieżka przygotowana z myślą o wieloetapowym poznawaniu nadwiślańskich terenów. Trudność skrytek i ich rozmieszczenie nie pozwala na bicie rekordów ilościowych. Za to rozmiary skrytek i piękne widoki na pewno pozwolą spędzić miło czas na łonie przyrody.
Pamiętaj, że na wałach i w ich pobliżu zakazany jest ruch pojazdów motorowych. Odkładaj pojemniki w miejsce ukrycia, tak aby następni poszukiwacze nie mieli problemów z ich znalezieniem.
Niektóre pojemniki mogą być niedostępne w trakcie wyższego poziomu Wisły. Nie ryzykuj. Lepiej przyjedź jeszcze raz w terminie późniejszym.

With athe length of 1,047 km the Vistula River (Wisła) is the longest river in Poland. The river rises originates on the slopes of the Barania Góra (Polish for "Ram Mountain") in the Beskid Sądecki mountain range. Next, it winds its way through a half of the Polish voivodeships (Silesian, Lesser Poland, Subcarpathian, Holy Cross, Lublin, Masovian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Pomeranian), and empties flows into the Gdańsk Bay. The Vistula River basin extends to another three voivoideships (Łódź, Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian). In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, the river runs through the Dolina Kwidzyńska valley, and then through the region of Żuławy Wiślane (Vistula fens). In this section, the waters of the river roll flow lazily (with the an average flow of about 1,700 m3/s), speeding up only at the infrequent meanders. At On both sides of the river, along almost the entire length of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, floodbanks there have been constructed flood banks. The Vistula River flows into the sea mainly through the Przekop Wisły (or the Vistula Cross-cut), which is an artificial canal built towards the end of the 19th century in order to protect Żuławy and the city of Gdańsk against the water rising in winter and spring floodstime.

About the trail: the trail has been devised to offer you a chance at of getting to know the surroundings of the Vistula River in a multi-step processseveral legs. The degree of difficulty in finding the caches and their widely spread location will not make it possible to break any quantity records. Instead, the sizes of the caches and the magnificent landscapes views will provide a chancehave you spending to have a great time in the lap of nature.
Please, note that traffic of motor vehicles on the embankments floodbanks and in their vicinity is prohibited. Always put the containers back to their hiding places so that other geocachers will not have extra trouble finding them.
Some of the caches may not be available when the waters levels of the Vistula River are is higher. Do not take any risks with your safety. You can always come back later when the conditions are more favourable.
In some of the containers you will find numbers required to determine coordinates of bonus geocaches. Remember to write them down.
Die Weichsel ist mit 1.047 km Länge der längste Fluss in Polen. Ihre Quellen liegen am Berg Barania Góra (Widderberg) im Gebirgsmassiv Beskid Sądecki (Schlesische Beskiden). Danach fließt sie durch die Hälfte aller polnischen Wojewodschaften (Schlesien, Kleinpolen, Karpatenvorland, Heiligkreuz, Lublin, Masowien, Kujawien-Pommern und Pommern), bis sie in die Danziger Bucht mündet. Ihr Einzugsgebiet umfasst drei weitere Wojewodschaften (Łódź, Podlachien und Ermland-Masuren). In der Wojewodschaft Pommern durchfließt die Weichsel die Landschaften Dolina Kwidzynska (Marienwerderer Niederung) und Żuławy (Weichselwerder). Auf diesem Abschnitt ist die Fließgeschwindigkeit gering (mittlere Durchflussmenge 1.700 m3/s), nur an den wenigen Mäandern ist sie etwas höher. An beiden Ufern wurden auf dem Flussabschnitt in der Wojewodschaft Pommern fast durchgängig Hochwasserschutzdeiche angelegt. Die Hauptmündung der Weichsel ins Meer ist der sogenannte Weichseldurchstich (Przekop Wisły), der Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts künstlich angelegt wurde, um die Weichselniederung und Danzig vor dem Frühjahrshochwasser zu schützen.

Über die Route: Die Route wurde so angelegt, dass man das Land an der Weichsel in mehreren Etappen kennenlernen kann. Da die Verstecke schwierig und weit verteilt sind, werden sich hier keine Mengenrekorde brechen lassen. Dafür werdet ihr durch die Größe der Caches und die schönen Ausblicke entschädigt und mit Sicherheit eine schöne Zeit in der Natur verbringen.
Denkt daran, dass die Deiche und ihr Umfeld nicht mit Kraftfahrzeugen befahren werden dürfen. Legt die Behälter bitte wieder in ihr ursprüngliches Versteck zurück, damit auch die nächsten Cacher sie problemlos finden können.
Einige Caches können bei höherem Wasserstand der Weichsel unzugänglich sein. Geht kein Risiko ein und kommt besser später noch einmal wieder.
In einigen Caches befinden sich Nummern, die ihr braucht, um die Koordinaten der Bonus-Caches zu ermitteln. Schreibt sie euch auf!
