SLAGA 2019 Spring Picnic Event Cache

This years spring picnic will be hosted by javapgmr and justalong4theride at the Bolm-Shulcraft park (City park) in beautiful Columbia, Illinois. This park has something to offer for everyone. There are tennis courts, ball fields, a one mile walking trail, and a wonderful playground for the kids. The picnic will be in the main pavilion across from the tennis courts. There are bathrooms right across the road and plenty of parking.

DETAILS:

SLAGA will be supplying the fried chicken (let us know white or dark and how many pieces), along with plates, napkins and utensils. We ask that you bring a side dish or other food to share and your drinks. The prices will be as follows:

• SLAGA Premium Member Adults $5.00
• Non-Premium Member Adults $7.00
• Kids 5-12 $3.00
• Kids 4 and under free

Please post your "Will Attend" log as soon as you can with the number of people attending, your preference on white or dark meat and how many pieces you'd like. This allows us to order what we need without buying too much.

Please list what dish you will be bringing as well. We will be having a 50-50 drawing (you must be present to win), Geo Bingo, Silent Auction, Travel Bug Table, the Ammo Can Toss and Closest to the Pin contest.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

• 9:30 a.m. - Set up.
• 10:30 a.m. - Registration begins.
• 12:00 p.m. - Lunch begins.
• 3:00 p.m. - Silent Auction bidding ends and all games close.
• 3:30 p.m. - General announcements and business, Milestone Awards, Silent Auction and 50-50 winners, all game winners, and Premium Membership drawing.

Entry to Race Will be at the GC84AZ8 - SLAGA 2019 Spring Picnic. However, if you are not at the Event: Will Accept Entry by Sending “Hobbit Taz” a message which Includes: the TB# and Name; and Owner’s (geocaching) name.

Rules:
Milage starts at 1st "Traditional" cache bug spends overnight in on or after May 4th. Recommend dropping as close to 5/4 as possible to avoid someone traveling and dipping before the 4th and those miles lost until it is dropped. Note dropping and another cacher picking it up on the same day will not count as starting location. Once released no other racers can pick up or move any TBs (including own).

The race will end 1 week prior to the SLAGA Winter Potluck and Cabin Fever (Jan 2020?). There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for longest distance traveled per Geocaching Site minus mileage prior to starting location.
