Cache is a nano-sized cache, containing a log only. You must bring your own pen.
Cache is located in False Cape State Park.
False Cape was named for its resemblance to Cape Henry when seen from the ocean. This false impression lured ships and boats looking for the real Cape Henry (about 20 miles) to the north at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay) into the treacherous shallow waters, where they often ran aground.
In the early 20th century, False Cape was a haven for a number of prestigious hunt clubs, which took advantage of the area's abundant waterfowl.
Several geocaches await you in this park. This one is easily approached from the trails in the park or from the beach.
