Malungs hembygdsförening grundades 1919. Anläggningen här invigdes 1932 och har efterhand utökats med mark och byggnader, som är karaktäristiska för bygden.
Hembygdsgården vill visa hur en storgård i socknen kunde se ut på 1700- och 1800-talet men här finns också äldre byggnader bl.a.
Olaloftet, ett dubbelhärbre från 1600-talet samt Härlarsloftet, som är daterat till 1580-1590.
Flera av byggnaderna har intressanta välbevarade interiörer med unika föremål, målningar mm. Skinn- skomakeriutställning liksom en stor textilsamling finns att se.
Malung Local History Society was founded in 1919. The plant opened in 1932 and has gradually expanded to include land and buildings, which are characteristic of the district.
Homestead Museum aims to show how a large farm in the parish could be as 1700 - and 1800's, but there are also older buildings including Olaloftet, a double log cabin from the 1600s and Härlarsloftet, which is
dated to 1580-1590.
Several of the buildings are interesting well-preserved interiors with unique objects, paintings and more. Leather shoe exhibition as well as a large textile collection is to be seen.
