Beautiful ocean cliff scenery

This cache is located near the top of the picturesque red cliffs of 5-Islands camping / picnic park. Prior to huricane Juan, there used to be a nice easy walking trail that it was just off of. Unfortunately the old trail is no longer being maintained, and consequently very overgrown, and more light duty bushwhacking required (wear long pants to pass through the thistles and thorn bushes). The old roadway is in the general area of campsite 71 . Along one of several trails that start in the Provincial 5-Islands park. If you time it at low tide you may want to explore the beach area to see the "old wife" island. Great camping in the park. Container is a large black plastic container. For safety stay inside the old fence until the final 50 meters or so, where you will need to cross over the fence into the the more dangerous zone. Small children and dogs should be under firm control at that stage.
