Geocache Description:

A Mystery cache that pays tribute to those ACT cachers who, up to this date, have reach the magical figure of 1000 finds and are now members of the ‘ACT 1000 Club’. Those members, in no particular order, are:

TEALBY,

TANKENGINE,

WINGLEN,

ALBIDA33,

BIG MATT and SHELL,

McPHAN, and

MTBIKEROZ

The cache is not at the posted co-ords. However they will provide a parking spot (one at a time) to start your walk.

The cache is at S35 28.ABC E149 0D.EFG

To find the GZ, you will need certain information about the 1000th find of each of the 1000 club members. Fairly easy?? Well, sit back in your computer chair and see how you go.

TEALBY (C)
The first female member of the 1000 club. Found her 1st cache May 2006 and then reached the 1000 milestone sometime in April 2008. With some GCA caches thrown in, the actual timing of the 1000th find was under a little conjecture, however it’s been narrowed down (with some intriguing questions to Tealby who had no idea as to why I was asking) to a Tasmania cache. The best (and the only really obvious) clue I can give you for this one is that Neptune is a part of it.

C = Use one of the numbers in the GC????. I don’t mind which one.

_______________

WINGLEN (D)
The second female member of the club and reached the 1000 milestone during April 08 as well. Introduced to the sport by fellow 1000 club member Tealby, and made the 1000th find a short time after her.

D = In the cache name, subtract the small number from the large number.

As there has been an issue with the actual 1000 cache find - please use D = 4......
_______________

ALBIDA33 (B)
1st cache was found December 2005 and is now well over the 1200 mark now, however the 1000th came up about 2 years after the 1st. Has an awesome collection of Geocoins.

There are 2 numbers (that make up one number) in the 1000th cache name, B = the first of the 2

_______________

McPHAN (A)
First cache ever found was a now archived Canberra Web Cam, while number 1000 was a FTF.

Again, there are 2 numbers (that make up one number) in the 1000th cache name, A = the second of the 2

_______________

BIG MATT & SHELL (E)
Canberra cachers, but live just over the border and the latest members (as well as the third female??) of the 1000 club. Been caching since September 2006.
Number 1000 was a little Blue do, which I can’t do.

E = The last number in the GC?????

Note: The cache in question is now archived, however you can find the details through Big Matt and Shell's profile page.
________________

TANKENGINE (G)
The first Canberra cacher to the 1000 mark and did so in Oct 06. Now closing in on 2000. First cache found was in Feb 2002. Check out the sticker on his car.

G = The only number in the GC???? (* 3)

And last but not least.......

MTBIKEROZ (F)
The second member of the 1000 club, and will hit the 2000 mark very shortly. This 1000th is easy........it is........well, it doesn't matter now, just use the number 5 and the GZ co-ords will be revealed!!!

So, there you go, that’s all there is to it. Work out the answers and go for it. And if anyone else is getting close to his or her own 1000th find, maybe this is the one to claim it on.

You will need to cross one fence to find the cache. If you have parked at the co-ords, there is a section that is easy to cross approx 300 metres (approx 100 metres past GZ) from where you first see the fence.

The views from GZ are pretty good.
