This cache is hidden just off an unusual path at Boothsdale in
an area known as Little Switzerland. It gets its name because of
the hills and steep, wooded valleys which contrast with the
majority of the Cheshire plain.
To fully appreciate this cache you should park at the Boot Inn
(well worth a visit). Facing the pub take the road to the right and
then up a narrow footpath signposted Gooseberry Lane. When you meet
the road turn left and then, where the road ends, follow the path
that starts to climb steadily uphill. It’s not difficult but there
is a bit of a drop to the left hand side so you should be careful.
Turn around to enjoy the view. The cache itself is in a camouflage
bag and is about 20ft off the path.
It’s no more than 15 minutes from the parking place to the cache
and I do urge that you take this route as it’s a pleasant walk.
