Corcubión
No se conocen los orígenes exactos de Corcubión, pero su topónimo es prerromano, lo que nos lleva a pensar que el pueblo es muy antiguo. Hay varios restos de castros (como el de Quenxe) que remontan su fundación hasta hace muchos siglos.
Los primeros habitantes vivían en la zona en la que vas a empezar la ruta hacia este geocaché. Hacia el siglo XIII bajaron hacia la costa y construyeron la iglesia que aún se usa hoy en día.
El camino que cogerás se amplió hace una década para facilitarle el paso a los peregrinos lque van a terminar el camino de Santiago en Fisterra. El camino empieza en ese punto y se extiende hasta la aldea Vilar, a 1km por este camino pero a 3 ó 4km por la carretera. Desde él podrás disfrutar de unas vistas únicas a la ría de Corcubión y de un sencillo y precioso paseo en medio de la naturaleza.
Recomendación: después de encontrar el caché, sigue por el camino hasta la bifurcación en la que hay una flecha indicando a los peregrinos por dónde seguir. Coge a la izquierda en vez de a dónde señala la flecha y en un pequeño paseo entre muros de huertas volverás al pueblo disfrutando del silencio y la soledad.

We don't know exactly when Corcubion was founded, but its name is pre-romanic, so we can guess it is very antique. There are several celtic forts located (Quenxe, for example) that make us think it was many centuries ago.
The firsts inhabitants had their homes where the track that leads to the cache starts. In the 13th century they got closer to the shore and built the church that is still in use today.
The track you are taking was broaden about a decade ago, to make the Way of Santiago easier for the pilgrims that are walking to Fisterra. The track starts at that point and ends about 1km ahead, in Vilar.
Taking this track you could enjoy a unique view of the sea and take a simple yet beautiful walk in the middle of the nature.
Recommendation: after you find the cache you can go ahead in the track, until you find the yellow arrow for the pilgrims. Ignore the arrow and take the left path: you will return to the village but enjoying a beautiful and lonely walk, only surrounded by the sounds of nature.
El caché
El caché es un contenedor de tamaño pequeño. En el momento de esconderlo incluye libro de registro, un lápiz, dos canicas y una horquilla. Cierra bien el contenedor y la bolsa donde se protege el libro de registro; los meses de otoño e invierno llueve mucho.
Al primero en registrarlo le enviaré un diploma FTF.

The cache is a small container. When it was hidden there was a registration book, a pencil, two balls and a barette. Please, close well the container and the bag with the registration book; autumn and winter are very humid months.
