The maps I've consulted show this hill to be anywhere from 8,700 to 8,728 feet above sea level. My GPSr was reading 8,690'. Perhaps it's shrinking.
There's no trail to GZ, but it's an easy hike - under one mile round trip with slight elevation changes.
Pilot Hill Road is sometimes closed in the winter through spring. If you want to try this in the winter, it will be a bit of a hike from Happy Jack Road.
