A large Ammo can which was won at Humanloofa's farewell, we decided to place it near a location rich in Alex history...
I in my pre geocaching years used to visit this location as it was enroute to a nice fishing spot, but when the powers to be changed the road and parking locations I had to park far away at these coords 34 18.265 111 51.480. Once before the close parking was no more I took Alex to this spot then we made the long walk a year later, it wasn't until today that we both made the walk as geocachers placing a cache..
When I found this tree back in the spring 97, ha ha, I marked the waypoint with my Magellan Trailblazer XL GPS, I have held onto those coordinates through various means, then when we followed the coords in the Magellan 315, the actual spot was only 42 feet different... We did take a very long averaging reading for this cache placement.
