Come help clean up Sarasota’s parks! This event is the second of a monthly initiative I’ve started after talking with the county about what they need done. We’ll be working here at Phillippi Park, but may expand to other parks in the future. There will be various tasks that need to be done each time like cleaning out invasives and picking up trash, as well as other things.
Meet at the gazebo between 8:30am and 9:00 for coffee and donuts and then we will begin the cleanup at 9:00. We plan to end around 12, but however long you can stay is fine. Make sure to bring water, hats, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, etc. as well as any tools like clippers, rakes, etc. as we will only be providing work gloves and garbage bags. I will also update the page with any new info on cleanup tasks, future opportunities, etc.
