The cache is located on an unnamed knob near trail 746 at an elevation of 7100 feet.
The signs for 746 say 'Kennedy Creek' trail. At one time, the trail did start near the mouth of Kennedy Creek and joined 1709, an extension of the Reservation Divide trail that ran from McCormick to Squaw. 1709 is history, and 746 starts well up on the ridge, curving over to 'Sleeping Woman'. Since this is the least efficient of the three routes, the trail is little used but is in good condition.
The cache is a white vitamin bottle. The mouth is 1.5 in., so any trade goods need to be fairly compact.
