Located in Riverfront Park, Pottstown, not far off one of the side trails. Easy walk for kids and pets.
Parking is available in two lots, at coordinates
N 40.14.568 W 075.39.194 and N 40.14.665 W 075.39.520.
Welcome to one of our favorite places along the Schuylkill River. We were surprised there was no cache here already, so decided to remedy that. This is a great place to walk or bike on the Schuylkill River Trail heading West toward Reading.
For those doing caches along the river, take a break and stretch your legs, or put in at Riverfront Park and head to Tow Path Park. The park includes a trailhead for the Schuylkill River Trail, pavilion, picnic tables, a bike rack, and a boat ramp for kayaks and canoes near the first parking area. The headquarters of the Schuylkill River Greenway Association, which manages the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area, is located adjacent to the park and is open 8:30-5 Monday through Friday. Trail and visitor information is available in the headquarters office.
This area was flooded in June 2006 and evidence of the flood can still be seen.
