Ovaj keš dio je geoarta slova „F“ koji stoji za glavnu utvrdu Fort Forno.
Carska i kraljevna luka Austro-Ugarske monarhije, Odsjek Pula, Obrambeni okrug IX (od njih 16) bio je najsjeverniji dio obrambenog sustava grada Pule. Ovaj izdvojeni obrambeni okrug obuhvaća priobalje Barbarige na kojem se nalaze tri velike utvrde od kojih je najpoznatija Fort Forno. Osim Forta Forno u ovom se sektoru nalaze još dvije obalne oklopne utvrde, a u obrani im je pomagalo još sedam obalnih baterija. Ovaj sektor činio je sjeverozapadni kraj pulskog fortifikacijskog sustava, štiteći sjeverni ulaz u Fažanski kanal. Svi fortifikacijski objekti na ovom području, ukupno njih 14, vidljivi i nevidljivi jer su neki pod zemljom, međusobno su povezani kanalima.

Die Kaiserliche und Königliche Kriegsmarine aus der österreichisch-ungarischen Monarchie, Küstenabschnitt Pola, Verteidigung Bezirk IX (von 16) war der nördlichste Teil des Verteidigungssystems der Stadt Pula. Dieser isolierte defensive Bezirk umfasst das Küstengebiete von Barbariga, wo es drei große Werke gibt wo das berühmte Fort Forno ist. Neben Fort Forno, sind in diesem Sektor noch zwei Küsten gepanzerten Festung, und in der Verteidigung halfen ihnen sieben Küstenbatterien. Dieser Sektor war das nordwestlichen Ende von dem Pula Befestigungssystem, der den nördliche Eingang zum Fažana Kanal schützte. Alle Befestigungen in der Umgebung, insgesamt 14 von ihnen, die sichtbar und unsichtbar sind, da einige unterirdisch sind, sind miteinander verbundene mit Kanäle.

The imperial and royal harbour of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the coastal section of Pola, defense district IX (of 16) was the northernmost part of the defense system of the city of Pula. This isolated defensive district includes the coastal areas of Barbariga, where there are three big forts of which the most famous one is Fort Forno. Besides Fort Forno, in this sector are two coastal armored fortresses, and seven coastal batteries helped them with the defense. This sector was the northwest end of Pula's fortification system, protecting the northern entrance to the Fazana Bay. All fortifications in the area, a total of 14 of them, are visible and invisible are because some of them are underground, and they are interconnected with channels.
