Geocache Description:


The owners of this cache lives in Norway and comes to Shoham from time to time for vacation. Like the other cache in Shoham, we have some cache-angels to take care of it.

From the homepage of Shoham we got some information about the place:

Shoham is a young town, founded in 1993 with 18,500 residents, almost half under the age of 19. Shoham is located close to Israel’s main airport, which is halfway between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, the two largest, major cities of the country.

The development of the town has constantly put emphasis on the environment and related issues. The town includes both private homes and apartment buildings. It is the council’s policy to maintain the appearance of Shoham as an environmental friendy town. In Shoham there are 250 dunam of green parks and gardens, designed with a unique system for reducing water -use.

More than 6,000 pupils and children learn in 5 elementary schools, one junior high school and one high school in Shoham. Aproximentally, 40 day-care centers and kindergartens operate for the younger children. The educational system includes unique programs, in various fields, such as: Environment, Leadership & Politics, and Biotechnology.

In Shoham both the formal and informal educational systems are rich with variety and include activities for residents of all ages in almost all fields. The variety of courses and lessons in creative arts, dancing, sciences, sports is also quite large.

Every year the residents of Shoham and the area enjoy an Interdisciplinary Arts Festival during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, and an International Mountain Bike Race, in memory of Itzhak Rabin, late Prime Minister of Israel. (visit link)

The cache is a small plasticbox and it is located in a park not far from the city-counsil. It contents some souvinirs from Norway. The reflex-man is a copi of a sculpture in our hometown Mo i Rana. If you take something, please leave something wich you would like to find ? The coordinates are maybe not accurate, but we guess you will find it.
