This cache brings you next to the Sandy Beach Lake boat launch which is located in the Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest. Bring your boat and do some fishing or canoeing. There is also a campground and picnic area/beach located just around to the right of the boat launch. The road to the campground and picnic area/beach is gated and closed during the winter months. The road to the boat launch area is still accessible throughout the winter months. Come enjoy the water and the views.

As of 2012 this campground must have been removed from the state website. I'm not sure who will be running it now. I guess maybe it's no longer a state campground.
There is some tree cover where the cache is located so the GPS reception may jump around a bit.
The Resident Manager of the camp ground was notified of the cache location.
