Geocache Description:

This is the place to find your letterboxing stamp!

How many times have you come across a letterbox-hybrid-type cache, or an actual letterbox, and wished you had a stamp to sign the logbook with? Real letterboxers make their own stamps--you should see the lovely flying brain our niece Flying Brain made--but as a busy geocacher, maybe you don't have the time or talent for that. So here is a cache full of assorted rubber stamps. Take one to adopt as your letterboxing signature. You don't have to leave anything in return. Be sure to use your new stamp in the logbook. Be prepared--there are letterboxes in this very park that you may discover by accident!

The cache is an ammo can located about 300 feet off the Fieldstone Loop West trail. Please stick to the trails and do not try to bushwhack back to the lower part of the park and the parking lot. We tried that once when we were newbies and found ourselves somehow trapped on private property. We had to lift Casey over some walls and do some difficult bushwhacking. Plus we were apparently trespassing.

Our letterboxing stamp, shown below, is from a 100 Yen store in Japan (equivalent to a dollar store). The two characters mean "under mountain," a reference to our hometown.
