Geocache Description:

This requires high clearance 4X4, and hiking up a steep hill.

Driving instructions: South on Bowen Ranch road for 2.5 mi - take right fork when you come to the BLM Info sign. Continue 3.2 mile to Oak Springs (JF1) and turn left. At 1.3 miles there's an area where you can park - then head up the mountain. OR continue another .04 rough miles to JF2 - turn right go another 0.6 and park there and walk up the use trail.
The cache is in the center of a spiral intaglio (stone grouping) that I found last time I was on this mountain. I have no idea who could have made the spiral, but it looked like a perfect spot for a cache.
Round Mountain is on the Hundred Peak Section of the Sierra Club's "list." The list has 276 peaks in southern California that are over 5,000 feet high and many hikers who are addicted to bagging all of them.
