Not for the faint of heart. 4x4 needed and sturdy pair of boots. Bring water. Very beautiful terrain, there is a real danger of falling in some parts. Well worth the effort!!
Drive west on southern blvd. (Rio Rancho) You will notice a set of phone/power lines running E/W. AS soon as the E/W lines end, turn south. Go to N35' 14.055 W106' 51.381-turn west. At N35' 14.041 W106' 51.593 turn south. At the fork at N35 13.863 W106' 51.719 keep right heading west, stay to right untill you come to N35' 13.851 W106' 51.842 Park there. Look W/SW Do you see a great looking lone sand-dune out about a half a mile? Thats it! The hike there and back takes about an hour. Please be careful especially if young children are going. Early morning or evening are best. This cache is well worth the trip. The area is extremly beutiful and very, very cool.....
