Situada no cimo de um monte à saída de Almodôvar (Estrada para Gomes Aires), o que proporciona uma vista panorâmica sobre o concelho e para além das suas fronteiras, transforma este lugar em miradouro..
Com data provável de construção entre o Séc. XVI e XVIII, este monumento de estilo barroco é composto por uma nave retangular e uma capela-mor coberta por um domo originária do Séc XVI. No interior destaca-se o arco triunfal.
Tem no telhado um marco geodésico. :)

Situated on the top of a hill outside (Road to Gomes Aires), which proportionates a panoramic view over the municipality and beyond its borders, transforms this place in a viewer.
With a probable date of construction between the XVI and XVIII centuries, this monument of baroque style is composed by a rectangular nave and a chancel covered by a dome from the XVI century. Inside stands out the triumphal arch.
On its roof, it has a geodesic landmark. :)

É um concelho agrícola por excelência. Muito extenso (775,9 km2). Almodôvar estabelece a continuidade do Alentejo com o Algarve através da serra do Caldeirão. Este ponto, aliás, marca de forma indelével a fisionomia de grande parte das povoações do concelho.
Apesar de escassos, os documentos históricos permitem afirmar que esta região foi povoada desde a época pré-histórica. Diversos vestígios surgiram nas freguesias do concelho que comprovam esta afirmação: Em Aldeia dos Fernandes, algumas antas do período megalítico, em Santa-Clara-a-Nova, as Mesas do Castelinho, cujo povoado originário remonta ao século V ou IV a.C., em Senhora da Graça dos Padrões algumas moedas e restos de cerâmica dos Romanos, na vila de Almodôvar o próprio nome, de origem claramente Árabe. Nesta altura, o território que forma atualmente o concelho encontrava-se no termo da vasta região de Aljustrel.

It is an agricultural municipality by excellence. Very extensive (775,9 km2). Almodôvar establishes the continuity of the Alentejo with the Algarve through the Caldeirão's sierra. That spot, in fact, marks indelibly the physionomy of great part of the villages of the municipality.
In spite of scarces, the historic documents, permit to affirm that this region was inhabited since pre-historic ages. Several vestiges appeared around the municipality which proves this affirmation: In Aldeia dos Fernandes, some dolmens from the megalithic ages, in Santa-Clara-a-Nova, the Mesas do Castelinho, which original thorp remount from the V or IV century a.C., in Senhora da Graça dos Padrões some coins and ceramic vestiges from the Romans, in Almodôvar township the name itself, is clearly of Arabic origin. In that moment, the territory which forms the actual municipality, ended in the vast region of Aljustrel.
